What's so special about a Greg Jones and the G-Men show?

1. Greg Jones and the G-Men put on a great show because they improvise. They play at least one improvised song per set. They also improvise during some of their "prearranged" tunes. Therefore, every live performance is a unique experience! It's a great experience watching the band interact with each other as they try to drive the train in order to avoid a trainwreck!



2. The band has a great sense of humor that is contagious! The band doesn't take themselves so seriously as to stifle great fun.



3. The band is unique. What other band, especially a Christian band in the Dayton Ohio area, is playing Christian progressive instrumental rock?



4. The band is very talented. Want to hear great musicianship? Want to hear musicians who are pushing themselves to the edge? Do you want to hear musicianship that takes musical risks? It can be very exciting to listen to a musician skillfully executing an improvised solo just to see if he's going "land on his feet" or bomb!



5. The band plays a mix of original instrumental progressive rock music, praise & worship songs and secular covers. Often, the band will adjust their set at the last minute to best suit the audience's demographics in order to ensure a great show.



6. The band plays some complex music. Most artists are playing simple music. While the band does appreciate simple music and plays some simple songs, the complexity of much of this band's set, sets them apart from many other bands.



7. Most importantly, these guys do what they do for the glory of God. Sure, these guys also do it for the fun. It would be lying to say otherwise. But with every note, in humility, they strive to fulfill Colossians 3:17 which says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
